 Cold snow on a Christmas Eve

Remembering all that was said

Laughter on my lover's chin

All so slim

Breaking the fatigue,

My friend has velvet dreams

Hard to speak       

His lover and she are best friends

All for friendship's sake

As Santa knocks on the door

Asking everyone if they want more,

This world is so beautiful

Solid prayers never go astray

Nothing can match Creator's blessing

Calling out names

Holding each other's grim

On special days

Smoother than the tangible moss

Thoughts flow into dreams

In a green jungle.

Only bugs recite silent poetry of

Sleepy souls inside sleepless nights.

Some take nights for granted

Drive big black cars

Love rushes

Wake up next to strangers

Feel purity that's gone.

Stories, images, bright lights

Many friends left behind

Dreams matched

Left on different directions

Just remembered songs

Good times no sunshine.

Mind wonders about the moon's silence

Silent lakes beside waterfalls

Lines rhyme

Like songs of bats

They threaten to drink blood

In the silent after hours of dreams

Loneliness,

Felt smoothness of the sleepy moss

Knowing sun would soon shine

Early dawn would open doors

To a ragged highway of night's dawn,

Eventually time to rest comes...

Like a wilder bee

About to strike loose venom

Spreading messages across the sky

শপথে হলো বুঝি জানা

তবে কী করে

বুড়ো খোঁড়া?

রক্ত তুফান লাল

চলো খেলা করি বারে বারে

দয়াল আইসা দেবে দোয়া

দৌড়ে পার হবো দূরের মেলা

চারিদিকে হাসবে সবুজ বকুল

রাশি রাশি সুবাস ছড়িয়ে

অবজ্ঞায় হবে না কূল

অম্লান রবে জগৎ পার

কষ্টের ওপিঠে সুখের হাসিতে

সাধ্যের নির্ভুল প্রয়াসে

মায়া কাটাবে না কিছু

বারে বারে ক্লান্ত ভুবন

নতুন সুবাসে উচিত আগ্রহে

পৃথিবী যে চায়

নিঃশ্বাসের অজুহাত,

উড়িয়ে প্রশ্ন

মুক্ত আকাক্সক্ষায়

বেঁধে সংলাপ

সমতার তপস্যায়

বাধাহীন সুরে

সৃষ্টির বেলা ছাড়া গান।

Paradise Lost

 The serene pastures sought solitude

In a well disguised form

Trickling through shadows

Foregone lust

When a silent moon conspired

Offering kindness all around...

Mother Nature forms crystals

Slowly drifting into unholy sign

Searching for a paradise lost...

We shall now venture through alleys

Returning faith bestowed

Forgiving ones...

Please be kind to yourself

Do not get lost

Among hate filled pastures,

You were chosen to lead

By example and creed

For others to feel

Kingdom of expressions.

Poetry is an escape

Words mere existence

Trust key to freedom

Milk white pieces of paper…

Sit beyond a fence

Overlooking horizons

ভরা চাঁদে কেঁদে হেসে
ভাবনার ভাবনাগুলো
বিশাল আঙুলের লাগামহীন
বন্দী জীবন অবলীলায়
শ্রুতিমধুর সংকল্প শ্রাদ্ধ
আজব গোলক ধাঁধায়
নিঃশ্বাসের ধ্বনির বাধা,
এক পায়ের নাচুনিতে
ভরপুর ভরসায়
সত্যের জয়ী কর্ম যজ্ঞা
শুরুর শেষ শেষে
পুনরায় রক্তের তীব্রতা
জন্মের জন্মান্তরে হাস্যোজ্জ্বল।

Brink

In my world of creation

Seldom is there silence

Movement,

On a brink of ecstasy

Words appear like dew

In  an  early dawn

When conscience is born

Where love reigns over green prairies
